Welcome
to Bristol Community Organization, Inc.!
In 1965, the current Bristol Community
Organization opened under the name "Economic Opportunities
Commission" with a mission. The purpose was to provide programs and
procedures to develop, to the fullest potential, the skills and talents of
residents of Bristol. The agency hoped, in effect, to eliminate the cause and
conditions of poverty.
Today, the Bristol Community Organization, Inc.,
BCO, is a private non-profit community action agency serving the young, the
elderly, the handicapped and economically disadvantaged individuals and
families in the Greater Bristol area! Towns serviced include: Burlington,
Plymouth, Bristol, Forestville and Farmington.
BCO's Mission:
Our mission is to help
eliminate or alleviate the causes and effects of poverty in the Greater
